in the power of music and I believe that everyone has a song to sing that is unique to them. My hope is that by sharing my life and experiences through music, I can make a difference in the world in some small way. And I hope by doing what I love I can inspire others to do the same. To jump out on a limb and chase a dream and live a life that’s full. When we let go of our doubts and fears and share our souls, we can change people – one at a time – and that’s how we change the world.

LARAE: My style is influenced by a wide variety, including 70’s/80’s Pop Rock (Journey, ABBA, Styx, Bryan Adams), Dixie Chicks, Celine Dion … My mentors for banjo are Bela Fleck, Earl Scruggs, Jim Mills, Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban. Keith, I believe, brought banjo back into Country music, which is kind of surprising because he doesn’t play banjo. He uses what’s called a “Ganja” (a 6-stringed banjo tuned like a guitar). Makes for a seriously unique style of ” banjo” playing that I’ve become passionate about. I love all my siblings like crazy and I can’t imagine my life without them. T hey make Redhead Express. I’m living my dream and I feel so blessed to be living it with them.

ALISA: Hi, my name is Alisa:) I am the fiddle player, mandolinist and generally low harmony singer for the Redhead Express. I’ve been playing fiddle since I was eight and have absolutely grown to love what I do. I have been inspired by many artists in various different genres: Nickel Creek, Stuart Duncan, Dixie Chicks, Alison Krauss and many others. My favorite thing about performing is seeing people’s reactions & knowing that I was involved with bringing a smile to someone’s face.

MEGHAN: Hey, my name is Meghan! I’m the youngest redhead of the group … which would explain why I got stuck with the biggest instrument. But I love it.:) I also do most of the high harmony singing and some lead. Artists and groups like the Dixie Chicks, Martina McBride, Journey, and Billy Joel have inspired me and, over the years, shaped the sound that I bring to the band. My bass mentors and inspirations are Mike Bub and Victor Wooten. I’ve been playing for over eight years now. I feel so privileged to be able to do what I love for a living, and while doing that, to see the world and meet all of you. I wouldn’t trade this life for anything; dreams are worth chasing, no matter how hard it may be.
