Branson On The Road
Americas Favorite Road Show
Featuring The Only Woman To Have Played Lead Guitar for Johnny Cash.
What do you get when you bring together a mandolin, banjo, guitar, upright slap bass, rhinestone costumes, hilarious comedy and great classic country, bluegrass, rockabilly and gospel music at Music Ranch Montana......Branson On The Road®!
Branson On The Road has over 20 years of experience of performing at the top theatres in Branson on the famous 76 Country Music Boulevard (known as "The Strip"), and is the first national touring show named for the famous city. The show delivers the Branson traditions of good, clean, family fun wherever they go...and they go all over the US and beyond!
Ross Summers, President of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce said, “We are proud to have Branson On The Road as a traveling ambassador for Branson. We encourage you to attend or bring a group to a wonderful Branson On The Road concert in your area”.
Branson On The Road is the kind of show most people thought was long gone in this day of overproduced music, overused special effects and performers singing to tracks. In the same tradition as the traveling road shows during the glory days of the Grand Ole Opry, the Louisiana Hayride and the first Branson music shows, Branson On The Road keeps you tapping, laughing and smiling.
Those seeing a Branson On The Road show can not only expect great music but plenty of hilarious comedy every step of the way.
“We reside in the live music capital of the world, Branson, Missouri”, said Debbie Horton, “and realized that there are many people who will never have a chance to visit Branson personally so we decided to bring our Branson stage show directly to them.”
Branson On The Road is the best way to experience a Branson show right where YOU live! For a couple of hours you can forget all about your troubles and have good time – laughter is the best medicine.
DEBBIE HORTON holds the distinction of being the only woman to have played lead guitar for the great Johnny Cash. Among her other credits, Debbie is an accomplished songwriter. She has had her songs recorded by Wanda Jackson, "Pretty Miss" Norma Jean from the Porter Wagoner show and many other country singers.
ADAM POPE is an excellent singer, songwriter and entertainer. He has appeared on Nashville’s Music City Roots show, hosted the legendary “Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree” radio program in Nashville (broadcast on WSM radio), and has hosted and performed in many shows at the famous Bluebird Cafe. Since moving from his home in North Carolina to Nashville in 2006, Adam has released 5 solo albums and 2 duets albums with his wife, Amy. In 2019 Adam became a cast member of Debbie Horton’s Branson On The Road show.

IN MEMORY OF DONNIE WRIGHT
January 9, 1954 - March 14, 2017
DONNIE WRIGHT, a founding member of Branson On The Road, and husband to Debbie Horton for 12 years, passed away on March 14, 2017 after a short illness.
Donnie started his professional career at the young age of 10 and worked with some of the biggest names in country music. Among his long list of credits were performances at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, The Presley's Show in Branson, the Pine Mountain Jamboree in Eureka Springs, Johnny Lee, and a long-standing run at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. From 2005 to present, Donnie and Debbie performed together on Branson On The Road.
Donnie was very proud of the fact that he played the fiddle theme song, “Black Mountain Rag” for the opening of the RFD-TV show "Midwest Country"...a song that happened to have been his mothers favorite song.
Donnie’s desire was for Debbie to continue with her music and show. Musical arrangements created by Donnie, are still performed on all Branson On The Road shows.
All who knew Donnie loved him and his gentle, loving spirit. He will be honored at every performance and his smile, antics, and talents will never be forgotten.
